New electronic delivery of annuity prospectus

Your clients can now opt to receive an electronic prospectus when purchasing an annuity contract. You need their consent to replace the paper prospectus with the electronic version. To do so, follow these steps when making an annuity sale:

1. The client must sign the eConsent form (DD9068) and return it to you.
    
2. Once the form has been completed, send your client the digital link to the prospectus. We’ve included these links below.

3. Submit the eConsent form with your client’s application

• This form is available on our eApp system. If you are using eApp, upload the document by going to Other Actions > Documents. Drag and drop the form and list “Other” as the document type.
   
• If you are using Create Annuity Application Packet, the form will appear within the list of required forms. Please be sure to include the form when submitting the application to our office.
  
  Note: Make sure you select the electronic delivery option on the Understanding your Annuity form. By signing, your client will receive electronic versions of regulatory documents as well as statements*, confirmations, and letters. They can manage their e-delivery subscriptions anytime by logging in at principal.com/e-delivery.

4. Keep evidence in your records that the prospectus was delivered electronically to your client.
