"Sell income protection? Where would I start?" We've heard that from many producers and want to help you get started with some tips to make it as easy as possible. First, you can start by looking at your existing block of business. Think about clients who are:
- Ages 30-55
- Earning at least $75,000 per year
- In an occupation with little to no manual duties
There are also several of these occupations that are part of our Select Professional Program. This means they're eligible for higher benefit amounts as compared to their peers in other occupations earning the same amount.

- Find law schools in your area.
- Business owners
- Zoominfo.com – this site provides a lot of background information for free and it is updated regularly.
- Better Business Bureau – even if the company doesn’t have a review on file, the site may contain information. Be aware that this information isn’t updated regularly.
- CPAs
- Employees of large companies

Get a list of the 50 largest employers in your state:
- First, search by state.
- Then select the "Largest Employers" link. Data provided by careerinfonet.org.
- Use LinkedIn to search for any connections by company name. Ask your connections to provide warm introductions.

- Government employees
- State Employees: Conduct an online search for your state’s government employee directory.
